All activities and games are cancelled tonight due to the weather and road conditions.

Due to weather and road conditions, Clio Area Schools will be closed Wednesday, December 10. Please stay safe and enjoy the first snow day of the year!

The CHS staff had a little fun getting into the holiday spirit!
We used AI to transform this year’s staff photos into festive elves, and our students have loved seeing these cheerful versions of their teachers outside the cafeteria. A little extra joy to wrap up the season! 🎄✨

Earlier today, Clio Elementary held its December Leaders of the Herd assembly to recognize the students and staff who have shown outstanding leadership and dedication. Our Second and Third Grade Students of the Month were recognized for demonstrating exceptional responsibility, kindness, and strong effort in their classrooms. Their dedication continues to set a wonderful example for their peers.
We also honored two outstanding educators — Mrs. Phillips and Ms. Lamb — who earned Teacher of the Month recognition for their commitment, creativity, and the positive impact they make each day. They will proudly keep their Mustang Chains all month long as a symbol of their leadership.
It was another uplifting celebration of the incredible individuals who make our school community shine. Congratulations to all of our Leaders — their leadership and positivity make Clio Elementary a better place! #ThePlaceToBe!

UM-Flint recently featured the remarkable achievements of some of our very own Clio Area Schools Alumni: the Jarbou family. The article highlights how three first-generation siblings are each making significant contributions to the university community through the Honors Program.
Sarah, a senior nursing major, is excelling academically while preparing for a career dedicated to compassionate care. Samantha, a biology pre-med student with minors in chemistry and psychology, is demonstrating exceptional leadership as the president of Student Government, vice president of the Honors Student Council, and secretary for the Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students. Sebastian, the youngest, has begun his collegiate journey as a computer science major, student-athlete, and Honors student, already showing strong promise in both academics and extracurricular involvement.
Although each sibling is pursuing a different career path, their shared commitment to supporting one another—through coursework, volunteering, and campus engagement—stands out as a powerful example of family strength, determination, and community. Their story showcases the resilience of first-generation students and serves as an inspiration to others working toward their goals.
We are extremely proud to recognize the Jarbou siblings and applaud the positive impact they are making at UM-Flint. Their accomplishments reflect the values of hard work, leadership, and service that uplift their entire university. Once a Mustang, always a Mustang!

Yesterday, the Clio Early Elementary staff had the chance to tour the preschool building currently undergoing renovations as part of the district’s bond projects. Guided by Brad Wiskur, the team explored each area of the building, got an inside look at the progress, and learned about the many new features and improvements taking shape. From updated learning spaces to modern upgrades designed to support our youngest learners, the vision for this building is becoming a reality.
The Clio Early Elementary School Staff left the tour enthusiastic and even more excited for what’s ahead. The newly renovated preschool is on track to open in May, and we can’t wait to welcome students into a bright, beautiful, and thoughtfully designed space built just for them!
